Ep 417 | The Call: The Courage to Answer What You Already Know

WITH ANDREA CRISP

What It Takes

TO ANSWER YOUR CALLING

Knowing your calling is one thing. Having the courage to actually answer it — to say yes out loud, in your business and in your life — is another thing entirely.

In this final episode of The Call series, Andrea gets personal about what it actually takes to answer a calling once you've recognized it. She shares her own journey — from writing her faith-based book Design with Purpose to evolving into the Soul Aligned Coach she is today — and how the through-line of her calling never changed, even as the way she expressed it transformed completely.

WHEN WHO YOU ARE NO LONGER FITS WHO YOU ARE BECOMING

If you've ever felt like the way you used to talk about your life, your business, or yourself no longer fits, this episode names exactly why that shift feels so disorienting — and so necessary. Andrea speaks candidly about the fear that comes with evolving out loud: the fear of disappointing people, of losing approval, of no longer fitting into spaces that once felt like home. She shares how leaning into that discomfort, rather than avoiding it, has been part of her own soul's evolution.

USING HUMAN DESIGN TO TAKE ALIGNED ACTION

Andrea also brings Human Design into the conversation as a framework for taking aligned action instead of hoping-for-the-best action. She explains how understanding your energetic blueprint — your strategy and authority — gives you a body-based way to discern when a step is truly yours to take, rather than one you're forcing out of fear or urgency.

FINDING NERVOUS SYSTEM SAFETY IN THE UNKNOWN

Whether you lead with sacral authority, emotional authority, or another strategy entirely, this episode walks through how that discernment creates the nervous system safety needed to actually take the step, even when it's scary, even when it risks disappointing people, even when you have no idea what's on the other side.

THE INVITATION

Ultimately, this episode is an invitation to trust that your calling has never changed — even if the way you express it has — and that being seen in your own unique way, on your own timeline, is not just allowed but essential to living out that calling fully.

Ep 416 | The Call: How To Trust Your Intuition

WITH ANDREA CRISP

How To Trust Your Intuition

AND DISCERN YOUR SOUL’S CALLING

Have you been feeling a quiet nudge that something in your life is ready to shift—but you can’t quite explain what it is or where it’s leading?

In part two of The Call series, Andrea explores the relationship between intuition, discernment, nervous-system safety, and soul alignment. This episode is for the woman who senses that there is more available to her—in her relationships, work, business, or inner life—and is ready to listen more closely to the wisdom already within her.

IN THIS EPISODE

Andrea shares why an intuitive nudge is not always an immediate instruction to act. Intuition may offer the insight, but discernment helps us understand whether that insight is ours to follow, how it applies to our lives, and when it is time to move.

She also explores how conditioning can make it difficult to trust ourselves. The expectations we inherit from family, school, culture, faith, and past relationships can sound like truth—even when they do not reflect who we are or what we genuinely desire.

Through the lens of Human Design, Andrea invites you to become more familiar with your unique strategy and authority, so you can make decisions with greater clarity, confidence, and alignment.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

  • The difference between receiving an intuitive nudge and discerning what it means for you

  • How old conditioning and approval-seeking can disconnect you from your own truth

  • Why your nervous system may resist an aligned change simply because it feels unfamiliar

  • How creating safety in the body supports clearer, more grounded decision-making

  • How Human Design can help you understand your unique way of accessing inner knowing

  • Why you may not need more information—you may simply need more space to listen

A NOTE ON INTUITION AND DISCERNMENT

We often think trusting intuition means acting immediately on every thought, feeling, sign, or “download” that comes through. But intuition and discernment are distinct—and both matter.

Intuition can bring a sense of knowing, a gentle nudge, or an awareness that something is shifting. Discernment asks: Is this true for me? Is this mine to act on? Is now the right time? Do I have the energy and capacity to move with it?

When you allow yourself to pause, ground, and listen without rushing into action, you make space for a deeper kind of self-trust to emerge.

RELEASING WHAT IS NOT YOURS

Many of us were taught, directly or indirectly, that there is a prescribed way to live, work, relate, or succeed. We may have learned to seek approval before making a choice, follow the path others expect of us, or silence the truth that feels most alive within us.

Part of returning to your calling is gently recognizing what you have outgrown. It is allowing yourself to ask: Is this truly my belief, my desire, and my way forward—or is it something I learned to carry?

Deconditioning is not about rejecting your past. It is about meeting yourself honestly in the present and making room for the life that is asking to be lived through you.

THE ROLE OF YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM

Change can feel uncomfortable even when it is deeply aligned. Your nervous system is designed to seek familiarity and may interpret a new way of being as unsafe simply because it is different.

As you begin to make choices rooted in your own truth, it can help to slow down and create safety in your body. This may look like taking a breath before responding, giving yourself time to feel into a decision, resting, journaling, or coming back to the question: What feels grounded and true for me right now?

You do not need to force certainty. You can build trust with yourself one aligned choice at a time.

CONTINUE THE SERIES

This is part two of The Call, a three-part series exploring the inner knowing that guides us back to our soul’s purpose, truth, and alignment.

In the next episode, Andrea shares how to move forward with courageous boldness when you know your soul is calling you into something new.

SOUL REFLECTION

Where in your life are you looking for more proof, permission, or outside validation?

What might become possible if you gave yourself quiet space to listen to what you already know?

Ep 415 | The Call: How To Know When Your Soul Is Asking For More

WITH ANDREA CRISP

How To Recognize

YOUR SOUL’S PURPOSE

TThere are seasons when you can feel something shifting before you have language for it. Your current work may still be meaningful. Your life may look steady from the outside. And yet, beneath it all, there is a quiet sense that something is asking to be acknowledged.

In the first episode of The Call, Andrea Crisp explores the experience of feeling called toward a deeper expression of your purpose. This is a conversation about intuitive leadership, nervous system regulation, embodiment, spiritual entrepreneurship, and learning to trust the inner guidance that keeps bringing you back to yourself.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO FEEL CALLED?

A calling is not always a lightning-bolt realization. Sometimes it is a gentle whisper. Sometimes it is a recurring desire, a truth you keep returning to, or an awareness that the way you have been living, leading, or building is no longer fully aligned.

“The call is the inner knowing that there is something in your life that you are made for.”

For many women, this can arrive during a transition: a business pivot, a relationship shift, a change in capacity, a desire for more meaningful work, or a growing discomfort with performing success in ways that do not feel true.

Your soul’s purpose may change shape over time, but the deeper thread often remains. The work is not always to invent a new identity. Sometimes it is to return to the essence of who you have always been.

A CALLING CAN BE BOTH BEAUTIFUL AND UNCOMFORTABLE

It is natural to feel both drawn to and afraid of what is next. A deeper calling can require you to release familiar roles, old strategies, external validation, or beliefs about who you need to be in order to succeed.

This is where embodiment matters. Instead of forcing yourself into a fast answer, you can create enough internal safety to listen. Nervous system regulation is not separate from intuitive decision-making; it helps create the spaciousness needed to hear yourself beneath urgency, fear, and noise.

WHEN EXTERNAL GUIDANCE PULLS YOU AWAY

Strategy can be useful. Mentors, tools, Human Design, AI, and business education can all offer insight. But none of them can make your decisions for you.

Andrea shares how, during a season of business expansion, she began following a path that looked smart and scalable from the outside—but did not feel fully soul aligned.

“I was trying to follow a blueprint that was created based on what an AI knew of me, and not in full soul alignment with who I am.”

This is an important distinction for spiritual entrepreneurs: information is not the same as discernment. You can receive helpful advice and still need to pause long enough to ask, Is this actually mine?

ALIGNMENT IS NOT ABOUT HAVING THINGS FIGURED OUT

Alignment does not promise a perfectly linear path. It is the practice of returning to what is true, again and again.

“I don’t have to be perfect. I don’t have to have all the answers. I just am on a journey that is evolving.”

For intuitive leaders, this may look like allowing your offers to evolve, making space for more honest visibility, healing your relationship with money, or choosing a business model that supports your life rather than depletes it.

SPIRITUALITY, INTUITION + SOUL ALIGNMENT

Andrea’s work holds space for women who want to explore their relationship with the divine, God, spirituality, intuition, and personal growth in a way that feels honest and expansive.

“We can have a relationship with the divine… and we can simultaneously be a spiritual individual.”

There is room for nuance here. You do not need to have your beliefs resolved before you can begin listening to your own life. Your calling may be revealed through your gifts, your recurring desires, the people you feel drawn to serve, and the truth that continues to rise even when you try to set it aside.

Human Design can be one supportive lens for understanding how you are uniquely wired to make decisions, use your energy, and lead. But it is not a replacement for your lived experience, your discernment, or your relationship with the divine.

HOW TO BEGIN TO LISTEN TO THE CALL

If you sense that something is changing, begin gently. Notice what keeps returning.

What idea, desire, conversation, or direction keeps circling back? You do not have to act on it immediately. Simply let yourself notice it without dismissing it.

Fear is not always a stop sign. Sometimes it is the nervous system responding to the vulnerability of being seen, changing direction, or choosing something unfamiliar. Give yourself room to distinguish fear from a genuine lack of alignment.

A soul-aligned life is built through small, honest choices. You may not be ready to change everything, but you may be ready to name what is true, have a necessary conversation, adjust an offer, or make a decision that better supports your energy.

CONTINUE THE CONVERSATION

In the next episode of The Call, Andrea explores how to discern intuition from fear and conditioning—so you can make decisions with more clarity, self-trust, and grounded spiritual alignment.

Ep 414 | Create From Desire, Not Expectation

WITH ANDREA CRISP

Build a Soul-Aligned Business

WITHOUT OVEREXTENDING YOURSELF

There is a version of success that asks you to be constantly available, constantly visible, and constantly producing. It can look impressive from the outside. But for many intuitive women, spiritual entrepreneurs, and heart-led leaders, it comes with a quiet cost: disconnection from yourself.

In this episode of the Soul Aligned Podcast, Andrea Crisp explores the difference between healthy expansion and overextension. This is an invitation to build your business, leadership, and life in a way that supports your nervous system, honours your capacity, and allows your work to come from desire rather than desperation.

EXPANSION VS OVEREXTENSION

Growth can feel uncomfortable. It may ask you to release an old identity, try something new, be seen in a different way, or let go of timelines that no longer fit. That kind of stretch can be part of genuine expansion.

But expansion is not the same as depletion.

“There’s a big difference. And that difference can change the way we work, change the way we create, and about what really matters most to us.”

Overextension often comes with a different energy. It can sound like: I have to do more. I have to keep up. I have to show up exactly the way someone else says I should. It can lead to overworking, overthinking, and abandoning the very needs that make sustainable leadership possible.

A QUESTION FOR NEXT DECISION

Before saying yes, creating the next piece of content, or adding another thing to your calendar, pause and ask:

Does this expand me, or does this overextend me?

The answer may not always be immediately clear. But your body, your energy, and your level of resentment or aliveness can offer useful information.

CREATE FROM DESIRE

Urgency has a way of making everything feel important. You may find yourself thinking you need to send the email, record the podcast, post the video, or launch the offer immediately. And sometimes action is needed. But when the energy beneath the action is desperation, your audience can often feel the difference.

“When I’m feeling that urgency… that’s what I’m creating out of a place of desperation.”

Desire-led creation is not about waiting until everything feels perfect. It is about returning to what feels meaningful, nourishing, and alive before you create. It is about allowing your work to carry your actual heart—not simply what you think people want to see.

“Do I actually want to create this? And what feels alive in me?”

This is embodiment in practice. Rather than outsourcing every decision to an external strategy, you begin to include your own body, intuition, and capacity in the conversation.

AUTHENTIC VISIBILITY

You do not need to be the loudest person online to be impactful. Your visibility can take the form of long-form writing, thoughtful conversations, audio, teaching, intimate spaces, or artful content that gives people room to feel something.

“People can tell if it’s very performative… versus actually sharing a story and sharing who you are.”

Relational leadership is not built through performance. It is built through presence, truth, and the willingness to let your work sound like you.

HOW HUMAN DESIGN CAN SUPPORT ALIGNED LEADERSHIP

Human Design can be a supportive tool for understanding how you are uniquely designed to make decisions, manage your energy, create, relate, and lead. It is not a rigid rulebook. It is an experiment—an invitation to become more curious about what works for you.

“It’s really about experimenting with how does this work for me?”

For Andrea, understanding her own design brought language to a natural rhythm: periods of pulling back to create and integrate, followed by sharing what had emerged. Your own rhythm may look different. The value is not in copying someone else’s blueprint; it is in understanding and trusting your own.

A Soul Aligned Reading can help you explore your Human Design chart through the lens of nervous system regulation, intuition, embodiment, visibility, work, and sustainable success.

BUILD A BUSINESS THAT SUPPORTS YOUR LIFE

The goal is not to avoid all discomfort. The goal is to stop confusing self-abandonment with ambition.

You are allowed to want an impactful business and a life that has room for your family, rest, relationships, creativity, and inner world. You are allowed to be successful without making depletion your proof of commitment.

“You get to do life. And you get to do business in a way that feels really, really good for you.”

SOUL REFLECTION

Where in your life or business are you being asked to expand—and where might you be overextending yourself because you believe you have to?

Ep 413 | Standing In Your Power When It Doesn't Feel Powerful

WITH ANDREA CRISP

It’s Ok To Disappoint Others

STAND IN YOUR POWER

What does it really mean to stand in your power?

In this episode of the Soul Aligned Podcast, we explore the difference between feeling powerful and being deeply rooted in your own power. Because real self-trust doesn't always arrive with certainty. Sometimes it looks like setting boundaries, releasing people-pleasing, following the next small nudge, and allowing yourself to be misunderstood as you grow.

Andrea shares her own reflections on regulating your nervous system, trusting your intuition, and moving forward without needing to know the entire plan. If you're in a season of change, identity shifts, or learning to make aligned decisions without external validation, this is the conversation for you.

You'll be reminded that discomfort is not proof you're off track. It may be evidence that you're becoming more available for the life you're soul is calling you toward.

"Just because I don't feel powerful doesn't necessarily mean that I'm not in my power."

Soul Reflection: Where are you being invited to trust yourself before you have all the evidence, approval, or certainty?  Notice what changes when you let discomfort be part of your expansion—not a sign to abandon yourself.

SOUL REFLECTION

  • Why standing in your power may disappoint people—and that does not mean you are doing something wrong. As you release people-pleasing and over-explaining, your relationships will shift.

  • You do not need the entire plan to take an aligned step. Follow the bread-crumbs:trust the nudge in front of you, then allow the next step to reveal itself.

  • Feeling uncertain does not mean you are out of alignment. Regulating your nervous system can help create safety in the unknown, making it easer to hear and trust your intuition.

Ep 412 | When Rejection Makes You Question Yourself

WITH ANDREA CRISP

Rejection Doesn’t Define You

THEIR NO ≠ YOUR WORTH

We've all experienced rejection. Someone doesn't choose us. A potential client says no. An invitation isn't reciprocated. An offer does not sell the way we hoped. Or someone simply doesn't respond.

And while rejection can genuinely hurt, the deeper pain ususally comes from the meaning we attach to it. We question our worth, why we weren't chosen or if we did something wrong.

In this episode of The Soul Aligned Podcast, we explore what's really happening underneath the sting of rejection—and how rejection can activate old wounds around belonging, worthiness, visibility, and being chosen.

I share a personal experience of when I put myself out there and realizing that my own fear is not really about someone saying no, it's how my nervous system anticipates rejection before it ever happens.

When we've experienced rejection in the past, our nervous system can begin scanning for the possibility of experiencing it again. We may start overthinking, checking for responses, changing our approach, people-pleasing, over-explaining or questioning ourselves before anyone has even said no.

The work isn't to become someone who never experiences rejection. The work is to become someone who doesn't abandon herself when rejection happens.

We explore how Human Design authority can give us a practical framework for navigating rejection without immediately turning to the mind for answers.

SOUL REFLECTION

  • Where have a been looking outside of myself for answers?

  • What feels deeply aligned for me right now?

  • If I trusted myself completely what decision would I make?
