WITH ANDREA CRISP
What It Takes
TO ANSWER YOUR CALLING
Knowing your calling is one thing. Having the courage to actually answer it — to say yes out loud, in your business and in your life — is another thing entirely.
In this final episode of The Call series, Andrea gets personal about what it actually takes to answer a calling once you've recognized it. She shares her own journey — from writing her faith-based book Design with Purpose to evolving into the Soul Aligned Coach she is today — and how the through-line of her calling never changed, even as the way she expressed it transformed completely.
WHEN WHO YOU ARE NO LONGER FITS WHO YOU ARE BECOMING
If you've ever felt like the way you used to talk about your life, your business, or yourself no longer fits, this episode names exactly why that shift feels so disorienting — and so necessary. Andrea speaks candidly about the fear that comes with evolving out loud: the fear of disappointing people, of losing approval, of no longer fitting into spaces that once felt like home. She shares how leaning into that discomfort, rather than avoiding it, has been part of her own soul's evolution.
USING HUMAN DESIGN TO TAKE ALIGNED ACTION
Andrea also brings Human Design into the conversation as a framework for taking aligned action instead of hoping-for-the-best action. She explains how understanding your energetic blueprint — your strategy and authority — gives you a body-based way to discern when a step is truly yours to take, rather than one you're forcing out of fear or urgency.
FINDING NERVOUS SYSTEM SAFETY IN THE UNKNOWN
Whether you lead with sacral authority, emotional authority, or another strategy entirely, this episode walks through how that discernment creates the nervous system safety needed to actually take the step, even when it's scary, even when it risks disappointing people, even when you have no idea what's on the other side.
THE INVITATION
Ultimately, this episode is an invitation to trust that your calling has never changed — even if the way you express it has — and that being seen in your own unique way, on your own timeline, is not just allowed but essential to living out that calling fully.

I'm really excited about this last episode in the three-part series called The Call.
We started off talking about that inner knowing that something is shifting, the feeling that you
know that there is something more for you or that nudge that you... just can't quite explain that
you also can't ignore. It's something that I am personally living right now in my life and in my
business. I have been experiencing a lot of changes and I know that I am meant to lean closer into
what my calling is and not because I was doing something wrong. but because I know there is
something more for me. And you may be feeling that as well. So in these three episodes,
we explore first, what happens when you hear the call? Maybe you heard the call when you were so
much younger, or maybe this is something that you've just now discovered and you're leaning into.
And what happens when we resist the call and how to recognize that discernment and our intuition in
how we can move through the resistance and know what is meant for us and what is not meant for us.
And then, of course, in this last episode, we're talking about what it takes to answer the call,
to take those bold steps, to lean into the courage that it requires to be in the call.
And we're going to... human design into this conversation because it gives us context and language
for the call and how we can move in the call in our lives.
So if you've been feeling like something is shifting in your life, in your being invited into
something new, this series is for you. If you haven't listened to part one and two,
I encourage you to go ahead and start there and then jump back over here and join us for the last
episode of the call. Welcome to the Soul Aligned Podcast. My name is Andrea Crisp.
I'm a coach, author, guide, and I support intuitive women and reconnecting with their inner knowing
so they can live, lead, and create from a place of deep soul alignment. My own path has been one of
unraveling, releasing old identities, and healing patterns, learning to trust the wisdom within.
This space is an invitation to return to yourself to explore the inner work, the nervous system and
the energetic shifts that allow your life to unfold with more ease, clarity and truth.
So take a breath and let's begin. Well, welcome back. I'm glad that you are joining me for this
third episode in the series of The Call. If you have not already listened to the first two or
watched. The first two, I highly encourage you to do that. When we're talking about the call,
it's really about understanding what is the call on your life and how do you know what it is? And
then of course, how do you discern what is coming through for you? And then finally, in this last
episode, we're talking about taking those soul aligned steps. Because knowing what the call is,
is one thing, but saying yes to it is quite something. else.
And I have to say this from experience because this has literally been where I have found myself.
I have experienced so much change. I have experienced so much in my own soul's evolution.
But getting to this point to really declare that this is what I'm doing has actually been
terrifying, has actually been probably one of the scariest. parts of my own journey.
Because when I look back at where I started as a coach, when I was first talking about faith-based
coaching and the book that I wrote called Design with Purpose, it is a far stretch from where I am
now. Interestingly enough, if you look at the through line, you can see that so much of what I
talked about then is very similar to what I talk about now in a very different context.
But it was because I have shifted and changed so much. But my calling has never changed.
And I am just literally on my own soul's evolution. And so are you.
And so sometimes when we find ourselves shifting and changing, it can feel really scary to be able
to say, you know what, I'm going to move in this, I'm going to take that step, even though it's
unknown. And even though I literally have no idea what is on the other side of the calling.
Because the calling always requires you to respond. So if you're being called,
you're also going to have to response. You're also going to have to respond. And that can be
really, really scary. So in this episode, we're going to talk about having the courage to do that
exact thing. You might be in a space in your life right now where you're like, you know what,
Andrea, things that fit me. before don't fit me anymore. Maybe the way you talk about your life,
maybe the way you talk about your business, maybe who you are, or the things you subscribe to have
totally shifted. Maybe you've been on a deconditioning journey for a while now. And you're like,
I'm actually in a whole different space than I was. And I'm sharing from a new perspective.
I'm sharing from a healed perspective. That can be scary just even sharing from that.
Maybe you've changed directions in your life. Maybe you've changed directions in your business.
Maybe you're starting business for the first time ever and you're like, how do I share this with
the world? How do I share who I am? How do I share the soul's purpose that I am being called
towards? How do I actually... like start talking about that? How do you let yourself evolve and let
yourself be seen differently, be known differently, especially when it feels really,
really scary? For me, I had to lean into the fear that I actually might disappoint people,
that I might actually not get the approval of people. I might not actually fit into the cool crowd
anymore or fit in with the people that I thought I might want to fit in. I had to stop doing things
that didn't feel in alignment with me anymore. I had to start doing things that felt more in
alignment with who I am. I had to be honest about what I'm doing in my business,
trusting God, talking about God, talking about faith in a context that feels unfamiliar.
unfamiliar to me, maybe unfamiliar to how I've shared before, not in a religious sense,
not in a super spiritual sense, but in a way that just actually feels like me and the experience
that I've gone through. And so many of these things require us to lean into that deconditioning
process. requires to lean into really identifying where am I limiting myself here?
Or where am I buying into these old beliefs? Or where am I just not trusting myself?
Or where am I not listening to God? Or listening to what is coming through for me?
And all of those things, when we are not trusting our wisdom and our intuition,
it can feel hard to think about taking those steps. But when we are in that conviction,
When we're in that space where we're like, you know what, this is what I meant to do, even if it is
scary. This is what I meant to do, even if I do disappoint people. This is what I meant to do, even
if I don't get approval. That is when we take that bold,
courageous step forward and we share from the truth of who we are.
I have a friend who loves to talk about signs and synchronicities. And so she shares from that
space all the time. That's not something that really is where I resonate.
Now, I believe in signs and synchronicities, but it's not that I'm constantly seeing them and
feeling like I need to talk about them. But she may not talk about the things that I talk about
because it's not her soul's evolution or her soul's path or the way in which it's supposed to come
through her. And the same goes for you. When you're meant to make an impact,
when you're meant to share your... lived experience or share what you've learned or share from what
is coming through for you you're meant to do it in a way that is unique to you and being visible in
a way that is unique to you not in how you've been seeing it done not in the ways that everyone
else is doing it but it's in a way that is is unique to you. And being unique and being in your own
soul's evolution requires you to do things in a way that others may not be doing them.
That in itself can feel pretty darn scary. And it also means taking the next step when you don't
know what the next step is going to be. after that. And it's like following those breadcrumbs.
Now, when I first started the podcast, it was called The Courage Cast. And I talked about taking
brave steps, right? And I really talked about them from like, oh, you know what, we just need to
take those scary steps, those brave steps. But at the time that I was talking about that,
it kind of felt like for me, it was just like a hit and miss type thing. Like, maybe this is the
right direction. Maybe this is not the right direction. But I started to really lean into,
okay, well, what is my soul's purpose? And what's in alignment for me? And when things are in
alignment, then taking those steps can feel... like they have more intention.
And yes, they are going to require courage. And yes, they are going to require boldness.
But they're going to be more intentional steps towards what is meant for you versus just like
hoping for the best and taking a step, which is why it's so important to know what your soul's
calling is and to discern and to have the wisdom and then to take the step that you need to take in
your own life. For me, I love using human design because it gives me a blueprint in how we're
designed to move through life and how we can access our intuition and how we can know what that
next step is and what is unique to our path and to our energetic blueprint.
And for me, it has helped give language and context to how I'm supposed to move through life,
how I'm supposed to respond, how I'm supposed to... those really brave, courageous steps in my own
life and following the breadcrumbs. And so for me, it's about knowing,
okay, just because I know that this is true for me, following my sacral authority means,
do I need to do this right now? Or do I not need to do this right now? And understanding how our
strategy and our authority work into taking those steps. If you are somebody with an emotional
authority, sometimes you're going to need to move through the feelings of like, oh my gosh, this is
so scary to, you know what, I'm going to be okay and things are going to be fine.
And then when you finally get to neutral, you're like, okay, I'm going to take that step. For me,
it's about that sacral knowing. I'm like, okay, do I need to do it right now or not?
And feeling into my body and saying, yes, I do or no,
I don't. So it's not just haphazardly. taking that step.
And human design gives us the blueprint for being able to do this. For my clients,
I actually recorded these really beautiful guided meditations. They were actually,
for my clients, I recorded these tapping sequences. for every authority,
for really creating safety in the body to be able to trust in our own inner wisdom and to trust
that we are being guided on the path that is meant for us. And as I'm saying this,
I'm thinking, okay, well, maybe I need to make this available to you as well. And so I'm going to
do that. I'm going to make that available for you. I'm going to make those tapping sequences
available for you.
authority you are in human design, you can create safety in your body to learn how to have that
safety to make those decisions and tap into your innate wisdom and discernment to take the big
steps, those courageous steps. Friend, we're all on a journey,
a soul's evolution. And our soul's evolution requires us to lean more into our soul alignment,
which I believe is the call on our lives. It is the reason we are here.
And yes. Being in our soul alignment can feel really scary at times.
It can feel like so much uncertainty and so much unknown. But when we begin to understand how we
are divinely created and how our energetic blueprint is meant for us to move and create in the
world, it gives us so much more context to understand how we can make those decisions,
how we can lean into our intuition in a new way, how we can begin to take steps that feel like
they're in alignment with what we are meant to do in our calling and I would love to walk through
your human design with you and so I'm going to leave a link in the show notes for you to have a
human design reading with me. And in this human design reading, we're going to actually talk about
your nervous system, how to regulate your nervous system around your human design, how to lean into
your intuition. I will provide you with PDF as well as an audio on my own personal perspective of
your chart. And then we're going to jump on a call and talk about things that are maybe coming up
for you and how you can walk in closer alignment with your own personal calling and how you can.
live from that place. I have loved sharing this with you.
And I really believe that when you know what your calling is, when you're walking in alignment with
it, then everything will shift and change not only for your benefit, but for the people you are
meant to impact and influence in your life.
