WITH VANESSA BOWEN

Our energy will connect to the same energy of money, that’s how we attract money to us.
— Vanessa Bowen

About Episode:

If you’ve ever thought to yourself that you’re not worthy of having what you want, of being in love, of experiencing the kind of life that you’ve always dreamt of having it’s entirely possible that you’re living with abundance blocks and you don’t even know it.

These blocks often can be linked directly to your childhood, to your family of origin and are the main source of anxiety and are one of the biggest reasons couples divorce. Money.

When I came across Vanessa Bowen on social media I knew right away that I wanted to have her on the podcast. Our conversation about how closely abundance is tied to our faith, mental health, our own self worth and even our success is going to open you up in a way that I personally believe will transform your life.

Vanessa Bowen is an Abundance and Money Coach based out of Toronto, Ontario.

085 | How To Live Well When Life Falls Apart

WITH NIKI HARDY

If we are to breathe again in the midst of our mess, however imperfect, we mustn’t circumvent the healing process, no matter how much we’d like to. When we live in the pain of an unfair story, we grieve the lack of a happy ending. Yet if we rush to the end, our lives and our healing aren’t nearly as rich as God intends.
— Niki Hardy

About Episode:

My guest today watched her mother pass away from cancer, and then her sister a few years later. When she herself was diagnosed just six weeks later it left her reeling, questioning, and merely surviving a life that bore no resemblance to the abundant life she thought she would be living. Diagnosed with rectal cancer she began to face an unimaginable journey.

With humour mixed with grit and her real-life accounts of her own personal journey she began to pen the book Breathe Again; How to Live Well When Life Falls Apart. Niki Hardy unpacks seven practices to thrive, not just survive, no matter what life throws at us.

083 | Beholding And Becoming

WITH RUTH CHOU SIMONS

If you behold your bitterness in your life every day and keep thinking about it and keep fixating on it, repeating the wrong done to you over and over again that will shape who you become. That will affect the person you become in five years. You will go in the direction and traction of your bitterness.
— Ruth Chou Simons

About Episode:

This beautiful conversation with Ruth Chou Simons is going to inspire the creative in your to come alive. In complete transparency, I got off the call with her and immediately went into the other room and immediately and started playing the piano. Something that I’ve not done in forever. And I’ve not stopped. I truly believe this conversation will call out the creativity in you.

Ruth Chou Simons is a bestselling author, entrepreneur, and speaker. Ruth and her husband, Troy, are raising six boys in Colorado. Ruth’s first book, GraceLaced, won a 2018 Christian Book Award. And her latest book Beholding And Becoming just released on September 10th — and WOW!!! And I’m going to be giving away a copy of the book at the end of this week to one amazing listener. All you have to do is grab a screenshot of this episode and post it to your stories or feed on Instagram making sure to tag @the.couragecast and @ruthchousimons and I’ll pick one winner this Friday.

This conversation has really inspired me to access the creative parts of myself. There is something so special about taking time to be filled up and to express ourselves creatively. To work out our emotions on the canvas, or through writing, dance or music. For me, it’s about taking that time to centre myself and open myself to the most creative parts or me — without feeling like I have to be or do anything. I want to encourage you to set aside some time this week to access creativity in your own life.
